Hello all students in the School of Communication Studies!
Welcome back to school, and welcome to our first fully in-person semester since Fall 2019. We have all endured a lot of change and uncertainty over the last two years, and all of your staff and faculty in Communications are very excited to be seeing you all back in the halls and back in the classroom.
I would also like to welcome all of our new students to Broadcast Media Studies, Information Design, Journalism & Digital Media, and Public Relations!
For those of you who do not yet know me, my name is Sam, and I am your academic advisor. What is an advisor? An advisor is your go-to person if you have any questions about courses, program planning, travelling abroad, adding a minor, or anything else that comes up while you are with us at MRU.
This Bulletin goes out roughly every week, and it contains a lot of updates for you to read through—including job and volunteer postings, award opportunities, Communication event updates, and other major updates from the university. Make sure to read through each issue so that you don’t miss out on anything big!
Speaking of, Fall 2022 registration closes on September 16th! If you want to make any changes to your Fall schedule of courses, do so now! Please note that if you add any new courses, you may need to pay some additional tuition. Any new tuition fees are also due by September 16th.
Remember, if you have any questions or concerns at all, you can reach me directly at email@example.com or in my office in T252.
